Facing Windows
Overburdened and stuck in a greying marriage, Giovanna (Giovanna Mezzogiorno), the young heroine of Ferzan Ozpetek's Facing Windows, faces a crossroads that appears in the form of an aging man losing his memory clinging to a difficult choice he made a lifetime ago. When Giovanna and her husband (Filippo Nigro) bring home a confused elderly man (Massimo Girotti) they find wandering in the streets, the man's presence begins to have a profound effect on the young wife and mother. As she begins to reflect on her life, Giovanna befriends a young bachelor (Raoul Bova) who lives in the flat opposite hers. She eventually finds herself facing a series of choices about her life, her family, and her future.
